No company is the best company to help you with credit debt. Only you can help you with credit debt. If you need help sorting out your debt and learning how to reduce and eliminate it then seek the help of a NON-PROFIT credit counselor you can look them up online. They can help you create a plan to eliminate debt completely. If anyone wants to charge you to help reduce or eliminate your debt they are RIPPING YOU OFF. You can renegotiate interest rates, reduced payments, and balances with any company without having to pay someone. What you really need is good finance education which many people today need and non profit counselors can help you with this.
For me, it was credit union. I had to be a member for several weeks before I could apply for a loan, and that loan cleared all the others in full. I had 5 years to spread my repayments over, and there were no monthly or other fees. Interest was added on weekly so it never became a big lump sum, and every week as I made my payment, the balance came down and so did the interest, meaning more of my money went off the debt bringing it down faster. There were no penalty fees for paying it off early, and they tried to match my repayments to the amount I had saved regularly in the first place, as they knew I could pay that much without hardship. And once a year I got a dividend on my savings there as well.
It meant that I took charge of my debts instead of paying money to a company, money that would be better coming off my own loan. I have been totally debt free since then.
Don’t do this – you can do this yourself – very easily
Go to a bookstore and get a book on
Credit and Debt Repair.
Spend 2 hours reading it.
It will teach you like a PRO to negotiate, settle, reduce payments, reduce interest, everything !!!
Why would you pay someone for something that is common knowldege?
Don’t have the time?
There is a government approved non-profit service that will help you at no cost.
National Foundation for Consumer Credit Councelling.
NFCC.org
Go to their site and call the 800 number.
Do not touch any company with the word negotiation or settlement.
They will scam you to death.
They will charge you thousands of dollars.
Most reviews say they wish they would have put the money towards their cards instead.
They charge you – and don’t pay your bills for months – to make a profit.
After all – no one works for free
Most people get their credit completely devastated by these scammers and end up in court anyway.

Greenpath is a NFCC member which means they are a legit, non-profit company and should be able to help you. Debt management programs negotiate lower interest and payments so that you can pay off your debt.
NFCC is a private organization, nothing to do with government. I don’t know why Judy keeps saying it’s a government organization.
best is you
Have you tried this first? Credit card companies have a department that is designed to work with you if you had a change in income variable, like divorce, loss of job, change of job, reduced salary etc etc. If you say you do, I don’t think they verify it. You should have all your montly bills and what you owe available as they are using a computer program as they talk to you to plug in your monthly income verses your expenses. For example, I got 1 credit card that was at 29% due to a late payment down to 5%. The only stipulation is that the account is closed or suspended and you can’t borrow anymore, which is a good thing. They give you a set amount of times, that auto payments are made, for example, $180 a month for 36 months, or until the debt is paid off. It becomes a personal loan type debt verses a revovling credit debt. Took about 20 minutes to do.
